Iranian ‘Bowl, Paper, Fish’ to compete in Russia

Iranian short animation ‘Bowl, Paper, Fish’ has been selected to compete at the 24th International Ecological Telefestival in Russia.

The 6-minute animation, written and directed by Amir-Shahab Mehdizadeh, narrates the story of two very young vendors who sell their goods alongside the beach.

One of them sells fish in plastic bags and the other sells paintings of free fishes in the sea.

The short animation was previously screened at the 2020 edition of the Make Art Not War festival in the US and the 2020 edition of the Festival Film Bahari in Indonesia.

The Russian Ecological Telefestival festival holds a unique project titled “To Save and Preserve” that showcases selected international and domestic ecological documentaries.

The upcoming edition of the festival is slated for September 1-5, 2020.
